Chris Lubbe
On Friday, 24 November, Year 10 took part in their PSHCRE Day. The theme was ‘Preparing for the Future’. Once again the students listened to a number of speakers and engaged in workshops run by outside organisations. We were very lucky to welcome back Chris Lubbe, who told his story about growing up in apartheid South Africa.
After the event we were delighted to receive the email below from Chris Lubbe:
‘Once again, thank you so very much for inviting me to speak to the students. I remain overwhelmed by the amazing responses of the students. I was blown away by the wonderful behaviour of the students. Both my visits have been really awesome.’
Throughout the day our students demonstrated curiosity, expressed their ideas clearly and were keen to learn about opportunities beyond The Hamble School.
We are now looking forward to our Year 11 PSHCRE Day on Friday, 8 December.
