Some of our students by now may be losing a little motivation. A good way to reinvigorate them is to encourage them to think about their future. This will raise student’s aspirations and help them see the purpose and importance of their home learning. We would like to promote the following websites to support with this:

A website that allows you to search apprenticeships, college courses and work placements. They have also put together some fantastic activities for students in every year group to help them find out more about their future options. Visit their website for more information.

A useful tool which enables you to compare working hours and average wages of job roles in the UK that you’re interested in pursuing. You can find information on a variety of careers from engineering to public services, hair and beauty, marketing plus much more!

A message from The Travel Planning Team at Hampshire County Council

Dear parents and carers,

The Travel Planning Team at Hampshire County Council have been busy putting together some ideas for families to use at home during this period of lockdown and, in particular, how to put your daily exercise time to good use whilst focusing on your mental health. There are also more ideas for families to access at and we will be adding to this page over the coming weeks so keep an eye out for more initiatives and ideas.

The My Journey website has lots of information about active travel which you are welcome to access, including curriculum resources linked to travel choices and their impact on the environment.

The Travel Planning Team at HCC wishes you all well.
