On Tuesday 14 May, a group of Year 7 students headed to the University of Southampton to participate in the Learn with US programme.

The fun filled day enabled the students to find out what it is like studying and living at University. They were led on a tour of the campus by student ambassadors and had the opportunity to question the student ambassadors on their reasons for choosing their programme of study, the qualifications they needed to secure their place on their course and what sort of jobs they wanted to get in the future. Students were amazed to find the University had its own cinema and 222 different societies including a Soapbox racers society and a Tea Society. Competition was high as the students competed in teams in games of SUSU Taboo, a scavenger hunt and culminated in a close game of The Chase where students tested their new found knowledge of University life. Overall a fantastic day that was enjoyed by everyone.
