This week was disrupted by a ‘Storm Day’, but our students have still settled back into lessons really well after the half term break. Year 11 have been brilliant during their first few mock exams – We are so proud of how they are revising and focussing on their studies in preparation for their GCSEs. All the hard work and practise really will pay off. At the end of the week we were really pleased to host a BBC Bitesize Roadshow and this was a great opportunity for students in Years 9-11 to learn about careers and effective revision.

Next week we have a number of community events – The Parent/ Carer Coffee morning on Tuesday, our Collaborative Concerts on Thursday and a Governors Monitoring Day.

Next week is WEEK 2.

Thank you to HC3S for your ‘spooky’ treats on Monday!

Friday 10 November

This year, The Hamble School will be mark Remembrance Day in several ways. Students in Year 7 and 8 Art lessons have been preparing for an Art installation which will be displayed outside of the Skills Centre. On Friday10 November we will come together collectively for a virtual Whole School assembly delivered by the History department. This will be followed by a 2 minutes silence.

To enable the assembly to take place in a timely manner, the timings of the school morning will change. This means students are to go straight to period 1 at 8.30am as Tutor will be later in the day to enable the assembly.

Our students who are members of Scouting, Military or other organisations are invited to wear their uniforms (rather than The Hamble School uniform) as a mark of respect on Friday 10 November. Students who are not members of these organisations, must wear their school uniform as usual.
